Why the park is credible
Built by people with something to point at
The park is new; the people behind it are not. These are the businesses the promoters have already built and the recognition those businesses have earned.
Recognised Star Export House
Tirumala Cotton & Agro Products Pvt Ltd, one of the promoter companies, is a Star Export House recognised by the Government of India, with export turnover above ₹50 crore a year.
A ₹1,750 crore exit
In 2013–14 the promoters of Tirumala Milk Dairy sold its operations and brand to Groupe Lactalis, the world’s largest dairy group, for $275 million.
₹40 crore SITP grant
The project is supported by a ₹40 crore grant under the Scheme for Integrated Textile Parks, Government of India — 11.8% of the total means of finance.
A known name to lenders
The promoters carry a well-known track record with the banks and across the industry, with ₹202.30 crore of term loans forming part of the project financing.
₹800 crore of turnover
Combined existing turnover of the promoter companies is over ₹800 crore, with combined existing capacity of more than 100,000 spindles.
An engineering institute
As part of their social initiatives, the promoters of Tirumala Milk Dairy have established an engineering educational institute.
